Van Dyks Flooring Xtra Commercial had the honour of being apart of the renovation and restoration of the foyer and stairs of this iconic venue.
The focus of the project was to pay homage to the heritage of the building which is a cultural hub in Rotorua. The original Municipal Building (1938), had Spanish Mission influences, and served as Rotorua’s Civic Centre up until 1995, whereby it was turned into a Convention Centre.
We installed traditional herringbone flooring, with striking blacknose edging on the stairs. We also installed carpet tiles and stair nosing throughout the theatre and bleachers.
