Van Dyks was contracted through Watts & Hughes to complete the flooring for Holland Beckett Law Firm on the second and third levels of the state-of-the-art Northern Quarter building in Tauranga CBD. With its thoughtful design and dynamic street presence, the Norther Quarter is said to be an architectural landmark that sets the new standard for modern workspaces, perfectly complementing the innovative environment created.
Holland Beckett Law Firm required a balance of aesthetics, durability, and natural product choices to reflect the firm’s modern working environment while ensuring long-term performance.
The completed fit-out includes a mix of carpet tiles, timber, cork, vinyl, and marmoleum, each chosen to meet the functional and design needs of specific areas throughout the office.
Tretford carpet by Advance Flooring was selected due to its natural properties, made from 70% Cashmere goat hair, and is green certified, with a unique finish and was used throughout the phone booths, reading, war, and meeting rooms.
Other notable touches to this project include the staircase. Completed in Forte Smartfloor Linen Oak Timber, the intricate detailing of the brass inserts, rebated into the timber flooring added an elegant touch to an area that required safety.
The overall result is a refined, cohesive environment that supports both client-facing and staff-focused spaces, with a beautiful view of the ocean, nestled amongst the Tauranga CBD.
